Flange-Mount Plain Sleeve Bearing Units
Pillow Block Plain Sleeve Bearing Units
Pillow block plain sleeve bearing units are mounted bearing housings fitted with a non-rolling bearing called a sleeve. The sleeve, a cylindrical piece of metal with straight inside and outside diameters, bears weight and reduces friction by sliding over the bearing surface. The pillow block provides support for the sleeve and is mounted on a surface parallel to the axis of the shaft.

Plain Sleeve & Flanged Bearings
Plain-sleeve and flanged-sleeve bearings support loads through sliding motion. Unlike ball bearings, plain bearings do not contain rolling elements. Plain-sleeve bearings, also called plane, journal, or bushing bearings, resemble a hollow cylinder and are designed to fit around a shaft. Solid type plain-sleeve bearings handle radial loads effectively. Flanged-sleeve bearings handle radial loads and thrust loads. Their flange design is ideal for sustaining forces that run parallel to the shaft.

Radial & Deep Groove Ball Bearings
Radial ball bearings handle radial loads effectively in high-speed operations. Also known as deep groove ball bearings, radial bearings are the most common type of rolling-element bearing. Deep, uninterrupted grooves in the raceway are manufactured with high precision to provide strong, consistent performance. Single-row radial ball bearings are non-separable. Double-row radial ball bearings reduce rotational friction in heavy-duty loads. Deep groove ball bearings may also handle light to moderate axial loads, also known as thrust loads. Stronger than shallow groove ball bearings, deep groove bearings require better alignment. Conrad and filling slot are the two main types of radial ball bearings. Also called non-fill slot, the Conrad design features a cage to prevent the bearings from moving. Filling slot bearings have notches between the inner and outer rings for maximum ball capacity, which allows them to carry greater radial loads. Filling slot bearings are also known as maximum capacity bearings or filling notch bearings.

Spherical Plain Bearings
Spherical plain bearings have an inner ring with a sphere that is convex on its outside and an inner ring with a concave sphere on its inside. This allows for oscillating at low speeds. They have a large contact area that can handle high radial and axial loads. Spherical plain bearings are also used in applications that involve mild misalignment, such as mining, construction, heavy movable structures, and miscellaneous vehicles.

Wear Strips & Wear Plates
Wear strips and wear plates control and guide linear motion in heavy-duty mechanical applications. Also known as wearways or wear strip ways, wear plates are ideal in locations that experience direct impact, abrasion, or damaging heat. Wearways absorb the undesirable forces to protect the underlying equipment. Available in many different configurations, wear plates are often used in die and mold production components, custom cams, slides, and other heavy machinery. Most wear plates contain at least two mounting holes. Cam dwell wear plates may feature a beveled design with additional holes for specific mounting purposes. Wear plates are typically thicker than wear strips and may have one or more chamfered or rounded edges. Wear strips usually contain straight edges on all sides. Most wear plates and wear strips are made of self-lubricating aluminum bronze or bronze-plated steel.
