Pinion Gears

Discover a wide array of shaft couplings, chains and sprockets, belts and sheaves, and drive components.
Pinion gears are small toothed gears used to drive racks and turn rotational motion into linear motion. Pinion gears are available in stem and wire forms. Stem pinions have a small number of teeth cut onto the end of a shaft. They work with spur gears instead of racks. Pinion wires are drawn through a die to cut gear teeth into the surface. They are typically used as gear prototypes or are made into smaller gears. They are also used in positioning applications.
