Speed reducer bushings are used in the speed reducer's hollow shaft, or output bore. They are simple, cylindrical bearings without rolling elements. Speed reducer bushings come in straight and tapered forms. Straight bushings are installed in straight bore speed reducers, while tapered bushings are installed in tapered bore speed reducers. Tapered bushings also minimize wobbling and overhang.
