Magnetically Driven Pumps & Accessories

Magnetically Driven Pumps are used when seals, or leaking seals are not acceptable for the application. Magnetically driven pumps can be either positive displacement or centrifugal pumps; the pump design generally does not. The drive method is the difference in this style of pump, which uses a magnet on the driver (motor). This magnet turns outside of the containment shell, which houses the shaft and liquid separately from the atmosphere and an accompanying magnet on the impeller shaft, which then rotates with the magnet on the drive shaft. This maintains the product integrity within the pump while using the magnets to rotate the impeller. Applications for these pumps generally include the pumping of expensive products or chemicals which are hazardous to the environment.
